A Chicago native, Guy first experienced NMTC as a performer in the 2003 hit production of Miyagi: A Karate Kid Musical. He went on to become a company member and has performed in a number of NMTC productions including Sin-ta Claus City, The Flaming Dames in Slippery When Wet & Vamp, & Hack/Slash: Stagefright. Some of his favorite roles have included Milton in Cubicle: An Office Space Musical, Russell Lovejoy in The Flaming Dames in Slippery When Wet, and Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Musical. Other Chicago performance credits have included Griffin Theatre Company, eta Creative Arts Foundation, The Second City Training Center, and as a regular in the mysterious Cinnamon Bear production to name a few.
Other creative efforts with NMTC have included writing original music and lyrics for Danger Zone: The Making of A Top Gun Musical, Boomstick; recording and singing Romeo & Juliet: Trapped In The Closet as part of Shakesploitation II: Iambic Boogaloo; and has provided piano accompaniment for The Flaming Dames Torch Cabaret. He wrote and directed Danger Zone and co-created Sin-ta Claus City with Artistic Director Chad Wise.
In addition to his contributions as a performer and artist, Guy has played a management role within the organization for the past five years, including the last year as Managing Director.
Guy holds a Theatre Arts degree from the University of Hartford in Connecticut, obtained his Project Management Certificate from Loyola University’s Business Management program, and is a graduate of The Second City’s Improvisation Conservatory.
He is also grateful to NMTC for putting him in the path of his wife Ericka which also led to the birth of his son Sterling.
