Donaldson

Donaldson NMTC

Eleven years ago, shortly after moving to Chicago, the first play Donaldson ever saw was a New Millennium production. He loved it, but never considered pursuing theater.

And then he started listening to his mother. Fast forward several years, several classes, and some great breaks, he now considers himself the luckiest boy in the world.

Donaldson has studied with Second City, the Neo-Futurarium, and TUTA Theater Company. When not performing with NMTC (“The David Bowie Hepzikat Funky Velvet Flarney Solstice Spectacular ,” “Plans One—Eight from Outer Space,” and “Police Academy: Insurgency Emergency”), Donaldson is the larger (less hysterical) half of The Gentlemen Follies, an improv duo featuring time travel, song, funny costumes, and puppets. Donaldson builds the puppets himself. Additionally, he’s appeared in the short films “Flüffenhaus: The Return of a Pop-Culture Icon,” “Hector,” “Smoking Dragon,” and “Man Eating Spaghetti”.

D dedicates any and all future performances to Anton Chekhov, Elvis Costello, Molly Ringwald, and family and friends—thanks for the love.

And thanks to a great theater company for taking in this handsome hipster-doofus.
