Matt Russell was a 5 star college pro quarterback born and raised in sleepy Bloomington-Normal Illinois, until a drunk driver crashed into his Pontiac Firebird and tragically took his legs. Matt would never play football again.

Picking up the pieces of his shattered dreams Matt focused hard on School and graduated with a B.S. from ISU majoring in Acting, Graphic Design and Throwing Kick-Ass Parties. While attending ISU Matt helped revive and became host of a late night open mike forum, Theatre of TED, granting him Ferris Bueler like powers and more action than a dude of his carriage would usually get.

After graduating Matt seeked out NMTC as a new home for performing his favorite type of theatre, Good Funny Theatre. Matt has been featured in Hack/Slash: Stagefright, Shakesploitation, Shakesploitation 2: Iambic Boogaloo, Dangerzone: The making of Top Gun the Musical and Manos: Rock Opera of Fate. Matt lives in Chicago with his lovely Fiancee Lisa and soon his little baby boy.
