Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi; you’re my only hope

Fundraiser small

Dear Friends of New Millennium Theatre Company,

We want to send you our sincerest gratitude for supporting us in our 15th year of bringing our love of pop-culture and parody to audiences throughout Chicago.

To celebrate 15 years of years of touching many geeky hearts throughout Chicago and the nation through theater and to ensure that 2014 will be as nerd-tastic as ever, we are asking you to make a special donation of $15. By clicking here, you can easily make your tax-deductible donation.

A quick glance at 2013:

  • We produced “NMTC: The Next Regeneration,” “Crazy for Swayze: A Swayzical,” and are currently playing “Silent Night of the Living Dead.”
  • We’ve worked with over 50 artists, and we also had the opportunity to do some youth outreach with some of Chicago’s up-and-coming young artists (two of whom are featured in “Silent Night of the Living Dead”)!
  • We were able to pay 30 artists for their hard work and dedication!
  • Our Script-Incubator Program helped playwrights develop new works and got our fans and friends involved in the process.
  • We gave back to the community by raising money for the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.

What your donations will help us pay for as we move into 2014 and beyond:

  • You’ll be helping to us continue to pay our artists.
  • For our next production, “The Princess Peach Conspiracy,” we have hired specially “powered-up” designers to take the 8-bit world that we grew up with and bring it to life. That means puppets, costumes, video game projections, and more!
  • To enhance our offerings of multi-media theater experiences, we are investing in a new projector. Your donations will help make that happen.
  • You will be helping us offset our operational expenses: Rehearsal rent, performance rent, storage rental, and most importantly production costs…it adds up fast!

“I want you to hit me as hard as you can. ”-Fight Club

…. with a donation that is. Please consider making a generous donation to help us to not only continue to spread the geek-love to our audiences, new and old, but to our amazingly nerdy artists as well. All donations are tax-exempt and can be easily made here or by mailing us at 4871 North Magnolia #3, Chicago, IL 60640.

Once again, thank you for all of your support.

May the force be with you on this wonderful holiday season—and always!
