Join the production team for “Silent Night of the Living Dead”

New Millennium Theatre Company is gearing up to bring “Silent Night of the Living Dead” back from the dead, and we need your help to make it even better.

To apply for any of these positions:

Please contact us at managingdirector@nmtchicago.org with your resume and portfolio if available.

Lighting/Sound Designer

Qualified candidate must be able to attend some rehearsals and all of the technical rehearsals.  Must also have experience in video projections.  The ideal candidate will be able to design and run the board during the run of the production

Costume Designer

Qualified candidate must be able to creatively work under budget restraints while maintaining quality.  This show was produced 2 years ago, so a lot of the job will simply be procuring the stock costumes from storage, which will help lighten the load.  However, we do need someone with sewing skills because some costumes may need to be modified or procured to accommodate the new cast members.  This person must also be willing to maintain the costumes during the run of the show as well as attend production meetings and technical rehearsals.

Videographer

There are several zombie attack scenes in the show that will be filmed and projected throughout the show.  Qualified candidate will film and edit the scenes that are to be projected during the show.  Must be able to work within the deadlines.  The ideal candidate will be able to also film the whole production at least once during the run, but this is not required.

Photographer

Qualified candidate will take the publicity shots, which will hopefully be published in many publications: (past publicity shots were featured in The Red Eye, Chicago Sun-Times, and The Chicago Reader).  As the show’s designated photographer, candidate will also be responsible for capturing production shots during at last one of the runs of the show.

Important show information:

Tech Dates: November 24th 9am-12pm, December 1st 5-11:30pm, & December 2 6-9:30pm

Show Dates: December 6-29, Fridays & Saturdays at 10:30pm and Sundays at 7:00pm
